At the April 8 drainage authority meeting, resident Lynn Flagee told the board the electrical building for Ditch 86A has been leaking for three years and asked the authority to ensure the pump station and electrical equipment are protected and insured.
Flagee said the building contains heating, air conditioning and dehumidifying equipment and estimated the electrical building’s value at about $500,000. She said the leak has persisted for three years and that she had not received an update about whether the pump station could be insured.
An authority member responded that repairs for the Ditch 86A building were out for bid and that bids were pending; the member said the authority had ‘‘addressed’’ the matter and that the county was still reviewing insurance options for the equipment. Another participant said staff were ‘‘still trying to figure out the best way of moving forward with the insurance.’’
No formal action on the resident’s specific request was recorded in the public comment; earlier in the Drainage Authority agenda the members approved the consent agenda, which contained the March 25 minutes. Flagee’s comments were noted by the authority and the meeting record shows the authority adjourned after public comment.
