Council confirms Eileen Madden to Plan Commission; passes resolutions honoring departing aldermen Kabaki and Schwer

At its April 15, 2025 organizational meeting, the Muskego Common Council confirmed the mayor’s appointment of Eileen Madden as the Common Council representative to the Plan Commission.

The confirmation was conducted by roll-call vote. The minutes and transcript record the roll call as follows: Hamill — yes; Decker — no; Bryce — yes; Schrader — yes; Thomas Dilgy II — yes; Madden — yes. The vote tally was five in favor and one opposed; the appointment was approved.

Later in the meeting the council unanimously passed two resolutions expressing appreciation for outgoing service by Alderman Kevin Kabaki and by Mayor Jake Schwer (the meeting text lists a resolution thanking “Jake Schwer” for his service). Resolution No. 019-2025 recognized Kabaki’s service as District 6 alderman since 2013 and listed the committees and liaison roles he held. Resolution No. 020-2025 expressed appreciation to Jake Schwer for service as alderman for District 4 (appointed in February 2024) and for committee service and Little Lake district representation; both resolutions directed that a copy, with the city seal, be presented to the honorees and become part of the record.

Both resolutions were moved, seconded and passed without recorded opposition; the first was recorded as passed “unanimously” and the second was approved by voice vote following a motion and second.

Council members and the confirmed appointee offered brief remarks of thanks: Eileen Madden thanked fellow council members and staff for the opportunity to serve; Kevin Kabaki and Jake Schwer were each recognized in the resolutions for their committee work and civic service.
