Las Vegas — The Las Vegas City Council on April 16 adopted the Kyle Canyon Special Area Plan, a land‑use framework intended to guide growth and infrastructure investments in the city’s far northwest for the next 25–30 years.
Seth Floyd, planning staff, and Marco Vilada, community development, told the council the plan responds to the 2050 Master Plan and Vision 2045 downtown plan by identifying locations for future housing, parks, trails, and public facilities while defining a transition in density as development moves west toward the Spring Mountains.
