Senator K. Gary Stubblefield introduced a bill to extend the allowable financing term for used forestry vehicles from three years to five years; the committee passed the measure on a voice vote.
Stubblefield (Senate District 26) said the bill is straightforward and was filed at the request of colleagues to extend the financing period for used forestry vehicles to allow departments or agencies to finance those vehicles over a longer term. He described the measure as “simple” and said he would take questions but none were raised by committee members.
The committee moved the bill forward by voice vote with no recorded opposition and no public testimony. The sponsor told the committee he would accept questions but closed the presentation after the brief introduction.
