The new refuse contract, approved as an ordinance (O-12-25), will continue the village's "take all" service for residential refuse, recycling and landscape waste, officials said. Under the agreement Waste Management will bill residents directly. Village staff said the contract includes a rate reduction for residents while preserving the current level of service and maintaining the village's senior discount; the reduction is expected to appear on the May 1 billing cycle if the contract is implemented as scheduled.
