WXYZ Bar membership transfer approved; existing restrictions to remain

The Worcester County Board of License Commissioners approved a membership transfer for the WXYZ Bar (WXYZ Bar & Tiki) ownership, confirming the transferee's intent to operate the premises under existing conditions.

Applicant Benjamin Seidelt confirmed that the transfer documentation was signed and accurate and that the current operations — which primarily serve hotel guests with some local traffic — would not change. The transferee and management said existing employee training and ACL certifications are in place and that any future changes to the premises or license conditions would be brought back to the board for approval.

A commissioner noted they would recuse from this item because of a personal involvement; the record shows the transfer was approved and that all existing restrictions described in the investigation report will remain in force.

Licensing staff will update records to reflect the membership transfer and maintain the same conditions previously attached to the license.
