Facilitator Ashley Sonoff, hired to lead the council retreat work, presented the council’s draft vision, five goal areas and 36 supporting objectives developed at a March retreat and refined by staff. The five goals are: community engagement and trust; a safe and thriving community; financial sustainability; community growth; and recreation. "Build community and community trust and engagement by enhancing communication and increasing transparency and expanding opportunities for public participation in city government," Sonoff read as the draft goal statement for engagement.
