Board approves grant increases, housing financing and multiple contract actions in unanimous consent

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors on Feb. 28 adopted a broad consent calendar that included amendments to human services grants, financing authorizations for affordable housing, contract and lease modifications, and the retroactive acceptance of state and philanthropic grants.

The measures, bundled as items on the consent and adoption-without-committee calendars, passed largely by unanimous roll calls (11-0) where recorded. Several items that drew discussion during introductions or public comment were continued for further committee review, notably the board’s item on remote public comment and a series of public-safety and immigration-related measures.

Key approvals

- Human services grants: The board adopted five related grant amendments (items 9–13) to extend and increase city funding for older-adult nutrition and grocery-access programs. Among them the board approved increases to Meals on Wheels (Item 9) and Project Open Hand (Item 10). The clerk announced the resolutions were adopted on the consent calendar; the roll calls recorded 11 ayes where taken.
