At a roll call on item 9, the board enacted an ordinance amending the Mission Bay South redevelopment plan to add residential as a permitted use and to increase permitted residential density in portions of the plan area. The board voted 11-0 to finally pass the ordinance. Supervisor Scott Wiener had pulled the item for a clarification about whether the Transit Impact Development Fee (TIDF) would apply; Deputy City Attorney John Gipner told the board that passage of the item would not alter any existing obligation to pay TIDF and the City Attorney's Office would follow up on the outstanding legal question. Wiener said he was comfortable voting to pass the item after that clarification.
