Board adopts consent calendar and multiple ordinances, approves several grants and contract amendments

Later in the meeting the board approved a package of additional items (36–47) by single roll call with 11 ayes.

Key approvals and actions recorded on Jan. 29 included:

- An ordinance amending the health and transportation codes to prohibit smoking at certain outdoor events on city‑owned property (item 22). The board adopted the ordinance by unanimous “same house, same call.”

- An ordinance requiring electronic filing of campaign statements to the Ethics Commission (item 23), adopted by unanimous consent.
