Supervisor Jane Kim, who sponsored the supplemental appropriation, said the funding aims to help students who are not on track under the district's A-G graduation requirements. "When it's a question about our kids ... it's never a question," Kim said, describing the supplemental as a response to recent data showing many juniors and sophomores were not on track to graduate.
