Votes at a glance: Board approves multiple ordinances and resolutions, tables Health Care Security amendments

At its Aug. 2 meeting the San Francisco Board of Supervisors approved a number of consent and adoption items by roll call and separately recorded votes on several ordinances and resolutions. Notable outcomes from the meeting’s adoption calendar and roll-call votes include the following actions:
- Items 1–8: Consent agenda items (consisting of routine ordinances and motions) were approved by roll call (11 ayes). - Item 9: Ordinances on overtime reporting were continued to the first meeting in September by motion. - Item 10: Resolution concerning the BART feeder agreement was adopted as amended (see separate article for details). - Item 11: Ordinance regulating limited live-performance permits passed first reading as amended (11 ayes). - Item 12: Ordinance modifying commercial controls in inner and outer Clement and Geary neighborhoods (Richmond District) was finally passed by roll call: 8 ayes, 3 noes. - Item 13: Ordinance authorizing settlement of the lawsuit filed by T-Mobile West Corporation was passed on initial roll call but later subject to motions to rescind and re-votes; the item ultimately passed (8 ayes, 3 noes; later votes resulted in final adoption following procedural rescinds and votes as reflected in the record). - Item 14: Proposed amendments to the Health Care Security Ordinance were tabled (motion to table passed 9 ayes, 2 noes) after extended debate; see separate article for details. - Items 15–37 and many others on the adoption calendar: Multiple resolutions and ordinances on staffing, property purchases, contracts, financing declarations, and other administrative matters were adopted generally by unanimous or large-majority roll-call votes (votes recorded in the minutes for each item).
The board also handled multiple administrative actions, planning appeals, public hearings, and a Committee of the Whole on delinquent code-enforcement charges; four properties subject to proposed liens were removed from the report after informal resolution with DBI staff. The meeting record shows roll-call tallies recorded for each item; clerk’s minutes and the printed agenda list the formal vote-by-name records.
