Board approves multiple ordinances and resolutions; off‑sale liquor license passes 10‑1 after debate

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors on May 3 approved a series of ordinances, resolutions and motions that the board said address public‑works enforcement, housing redevelopment funding and airport leases, and narrowly approved the transfer of an off‑sale beer and wine license after a divided floor debate.

The board acted on the consent calendar and subsequent items by roll call, approving multiple ordinances and resolutions that members said were needed for nuisance abatement and ongoing capital projects. Supervisor Farrell noted the city will accept an additional state loan from the California Department of Boating and Waterways to finish renovations at Marina West Yacht Harbor ‘‘in time . . . for the America’s Cup in 2013’’ and said the work will be paid for by increased boat‑slip fees rather than general taxpayers.
