Board approves $1.7 million modification to airport construction management contract after airport staff cite additional roadway work

Weidner also said administrative timing and a miscalculation delayed bringing the modification to the board; she apologized for the retroactive submission.
Budget analysts and airport staff stated that the contract was originally competitively bid, that the contractor had relevant experience, and that amending the existing agreement was preferable to re-bidding given the firm's qualifications and continuity needs.
No change to the nature of the work was reported beyond broader construction management tasks tied to the expanded scope; the board adopted the resolution without recorded dissent.
