Board overturns public‑works disapproval of Steiner Street parcel map subject to condition removing an illegal unit

The applicant and city surveyor confirmed the application timeline and that a certificate of final completion and occupancy had been signed off during the hearing. Planning staff, represented by Anne Marie Rogers, told the board they would support approval if the board imposed a condition requiring evidence that the illegal unit had been removed and that all permit work was properly documented.

Deputy city attorney presented an amended motion to add the Planning Department’s findings and the specific condition. Supervisor Mercarimi moved to table one related item and to overturn the disapproval for the parcel map with the condition; Supervisor Maxwell seconded. The board approved the amended motion and directed the clerk to prepare findings.
