- Palace of Fine Arts: The board authorized the Recreation and Park Department to accept and expand a grant of approximately $1,500,000 for restoration of the Palace of Fine Arts rotunda (Item 46). The resolution was adopted by the board without further discussion.
- Multifamily housing revenue bonds: The board adopted a resolution authorizing issuance and delivery of multifamily housing revenue bonds in an aggregate principal amount not to exceed approximately $19,000,000 to finance a rental project known as Bishop Swing Community House (Item 19). The resolution was adopted on the consent calendar.
Code updates and administrative items
- Building, fire, electrical, housing, mechanical and plumbing codes: The board passed on first reading a package of replacements for the San Francisco fire, building, electrical, housing, mechanical and plumbing codes (Items 23–28). These items were reported out of committee and passed on first reading on the consent calendar.
Other adopted consent items
- Community Development Block Grant plan goals and specific CDBG expenditures were adopted (Items 20 and 21).
Tablings, continuances and committee matters
- Golden Gate Bridge partnership resolution (Item 17): Supervisor Sandoval presented a resolution urging the Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District Board to oppose a partnership/advertising program. The item was tabled without objection after speakers noted public opposition and a Golden Gate Board motion to table the related item.
- Bonding program ordinance amendments (Item 31): Amendments clarifying code chapter placement and changing the administering department were read into the record; members agreed to continue the item to Nov. 13 so committee processing could be completed.
- Land‑use and appeals continuances: Several appeals and project hearings (Items 33–35 and Items 36–39) were continued to January 15 and November 13 respectively by unanimous consent or motion.
