Oak Grove receives Heart Safe designation after volunteer CPR training push

Allina representative Renee told the council the effort began in early 2023 and has included at least 15 events training about 1,000 people in CPR — a number the presenter said is “more than 10 percent of your community’s population.” The city also helped locate and place multiple automated external defibrillators (AEDs) in public locations and ensured that first-response vehicles carry AEDs.
