Lemont board approves consent items, waste contract, resurfacing award and downtown study

Staff said nine bids were received and the low bid was substantially below the engineer's estimate (~$919,000); village budgeted more than $1,000,000 for resurfacing.
- Resolution R-26-25: Approved. Authorized a professional services agreement with Teska Associates, Inc. for a six-month downtown inventory, surveys, outreach and public meetings to evaluate whether a special service area is an appropriate funding mechanism for downtown services.
All listed motions passed on roll call at the April 14 meeting. Several trustees and staff discussed program details during each item; the board permitted public comments, during which a resident praised the Waste Management contract and other recent village developments.
