The Chester County Salary Board approved new positions, several job classification changes and the inactivation of a county position during a brief meeting on Wednesday, April 9.
Chair Josh Maxwell opened the session at about 10:43 a.m. and said the meeting would be held in person with a virtual attendance option and recorded for broadcast on the county website. The board moved, seconded and approved routine items by voice vote, including approval of the March 5 minutes and adoption of the meeting agenda.
The board then took personnel actions: it approved the creation of new positions, approved position changes and voted to inactivate a position. Each motion was moved and seconded; Chair Josh Maxwell called for the voice votes and declared the motions passed after members responded "aye." The meeting record shows no roll-call tallies naming individual votes.
No members of the public addressed the board on agenda or non-agenda items. Mr. Baumann (staff) explained the public comment rules before the public comment periods, saying commenters had a three-minute limit and would receive a 30-second warning. Colleen led the Pledge of Allegiance at the start of the meeting.
The board adjourned after completing the personnel items.
