Council approves multiple zoning ordinances, emergency clauses and appointments in routine business

The Broken Arrow City Council approved a slate of routine ordinances and related emergency clauses, authorized staff actions and cast ballots for two trustee appointments to the Oklahoma Municipal Assurance Group (OMAG).
Staff presented several ordinance items that amend zoning maps, accept easement closures and finalize developments. The council adopted the first ordinance (easement closure related to Broken Arrow High School property) and then considered a group of additional zoning ordinances, approving emergency clauses for each as recorded in the meeting system. Councilors handled the items in block motions with roll-call votes; the transcript shows multiple emergency-clause votes taken sequentially.
On intergovernmental and board matters, staff recommended the council cast its OMAG ballots for Vicky Patterson (incumbent from Broken Bow) and Carl Birkenhart. A motion to approve the recommendation was moved and seconded and recorded for the council to cast ballots accordingly.
