Bellefonte Borough Council on Aug. 25 ratified several personnel and administrative actions, approved a memorandum of understanding on police academy training, and authorized a 2026 Center County liquid fuels application for a traffic-signal project.
The council voted to ratify the Bellefonte Police Association contract covering 2026–2028 and approved a separate Bellefonte Borough–Bellefonte Police Association Academy Training memorandum of understanding. The ratification and the training MOU were approved by roll-call votes during the meeting.
Council approved a set of administrative appointments and personnel-related motions. Alyssa Doherty was appointed the borough ADA coordinator effective Aug. 25, 2025. The council also appointed Elisit Ockerti as the borough Right-to-Know officer effective Aug. 25, 2025, and named Alyssa Doherty the Shade Tree Commission administrator.
