Lehi Jones, a preschool daycare teacher at Stafford Early Childhood Center, said she wrote The Kindness Kingdom to help young children learn sharing, empathy and caring skills, and she signed books during the center’s literacy night, the broadcast reported.
Jones said classroom observations of students struggling with sharing and caring inspired the book, which aligns with early social, emotional and cognitive development milestones. “My classroom had inspired me to write a book about a tale of caring and sharing called the Kindness Kingdom,” Jones said.
The school purchased five copies of the book for use as giveaway prizes during literacy night; parents and students received signed copies and photos with the author. Staff described Jones as the center’s first published author and said they look forward to future titles.
The segment presented the book and signing as a local-literacy and community-education event, not a commercial announcement; no retail availability or wider distribution specifics were provided during the broadcast.
