The Carbondale Board of Trustees voted unanimously March 12 to accept the public infrastructure for Thompson Park parcels 3 and 4 and to reduce the security for the project to $25,969.89 during the two‑year warranty period.
Staff explained the public improvements covered storm sewer, curb and gutter and the final lift of paving for the section around Louie's Lane and North Ridge Drive, and that private drives into some multifamily units were built as private improvements. The public improvements estimate used for the security calculation was shown as $259,698.91 and the 10% contingency was maintained during the warranty phase.
Trustee Brial (mover) and Trustee Colin (seconder) made the motion. The motion passed by unanimous voice vote. The warranty was to start on 2025‑03‑12 and run for two years. Staff said they will follow the established warranty and security reduction procedures.
