Harlandale ISD staff presented multiple facilities items at the April 16 work session and said each would be recommended for formal approval at the regular board meeting.
Administration recommended awarding RFCSP 250808 for the McCollum High School front entrance project to F.A. Nunnally Company (dba Nunnally General Contractor) with an estimated cost of $2,900,000, funded through Bond 2022. Mr. Salinas (presenting) said four vendors responded to the solicitation and that F.A. Nunnally met the project requirements.
Staff also reported the chiller at Harlandale High School’s cafeteria is over 20 years old and beyond repair. Administration recommended using Dynamic Systems Inc., procured through the Choice Partners contract, to replace the chiller at an estimated cost of about $295,000. A trustee asked about warranty length; staff said new equipment would include standard parts and labor warranty for one calendar year after installation.
Administration recommended approval of final payment to Architected SA Inc. for services associated with the district’s Career and Technology Education (CTE) building project and said punch lists and walkthroughs have been completed. Staff stated the original project budget was $5,000,000 and total project cost came in at $3,400,000; the transcript listed the final payment amount as "$18.56 dollars," which appears to be a transcription error in the meeting materials. The administration recommended the board approve the final payment at the regular meeting.
All items were presented for review and recommended for approval at the upcoming regular meeting; no formal contract awards or final payments were approved during the work session.
