Board approves array of budget, permitting and grant measures in unanimous votes

San FranciscoBoard of Supervisors members on Jan. 13 approved a slate of ordinances and resolutions including bond appropriations, grant acceptances, airport lease amendments and several administrative code changes, mostly by unanimous roll call votes under the board's "same house, same call" procedure.

The measures addressed a range of city business: amendments to the administrative code on the city's general reserve policy; changes to business and tax regulations; salary ordinance updates; water-system and bond reappropriations; an amendment to the health code on restroom requirements at certain stations; and multiple grant and lease authorizations for city departments including the District Attorney, Public Utilities Commission and Recreation & Park.

Why it matters: Taken together these votes enact routine and technical items that fund city services, enable contracts and accept external grant money for departmental programs. Approving them in bulk lets staff proceed on capital financing, program spending and contract administration without additional delay.
