Resource Management Commission elects Charlotte Davis chair; Paul Robbins re-elected vice chair

Commissioner Silverstein opened the nominations for chair, saying, “It would be my great pleasure to nominate commissioner Charlotte Davis as our next chair … and to not further nominate current vice chair Paul Robbins as our next vice chair of the Resource Management Commission.” Davis accepted the nomination: “I accept. Thank you so much, Commissioner Silverstein.”
Following nominations, the commission held roll-call votes. The vote to elect Davis as chair was recorded on the roll call as unanimous among the commissioners voting: Vice Chair Robbins — yes; Commissioner Davis — yes; Commissioner Farmer — yes; Commissioner Gary — yes; Commissioner Lukey — yes; Commissioner Schwartz — yes; Commissioner Silverstein — yes; and the presiding chair recorded a yes vote as well. After the vote the presiding officer congratulated Davis and urged her to “do great things.”
For the vice chair position, Silverstein formally nominated Robbins and Commissioner Schwartz seconded the nomination. Robbins spoke briefly about the workload the role entails, saying, “I treat this role as a part time job. In the last meeting, it took me about 15 hours to prepare, the briefing on gas utilities.” On the roll call for vice chair, the vote was recorded as 6 yes, 1 no, 0 abstain (noted in the meeting as “That’s 6 1 0”), and Robbins was declared re-elected.
The commission moved on to other agenda items after the elections and adjourned at 6:35 p.m.
