Bonner County approved an access agreement with landowner Twila Miller to formalize a turnaround area on Sagle Creek Road and directed recording of the legal documents.
Jason Toth, director of Bonner County Road and Bridge, told commissioners that the county had maintained Sagle Creek Road to a historical turnaround for more than 20 years but could not find a recorded easement. Toth said he surveyed the area, had a legal description prepared, and that Miller signed the turnaround easement; he said the county will post signage and use the turnaround for county maintenance only.
Toth said the county paid for a survey (about $2,100) to establish the recorded turnaround. "We did a legal description, created an actual turnaround, and Twyla signed off on that," he said. Toth added that the agreement allows the county to post signage to deter inappropriate activity at the turnaround.
Commissioners moved to approve the access agreement and to record the legal documents. The motion passed by roll call vote; commissioners thanked Toth and Miller for completing the paperwork.
Toth said the county will place signs at the site and that final recorded documents will establish the turnaround area for future Road and Bridge use.
