Finance officer Clay Harris presented the contract at the special-call meeting, saying the devices are purchased through a state contract and the district plans to use capital fund balance to pay for them. “These are on state contract, and so that's the reason that we don't have multiple bids associated with it,” Harris said.
Board members confirmed that the board had approved a related budget amendment during consent to allow the purchase from capital outlay funds. The board approved the Trafera contract by motion (mover: Jeff; second: Khan) and recorded the procurement as a business-item approval during the meeting.
