IVINS, Utah — The Ivins City Planning Commission voted 5-0 on April 15 to recommend the city council approve a zone amendment changing about 9.52 acres at approximately 755 West Center Street from RA-1 (residential agricultural, 1 acre) to RE-15 (residential estates, 15,000 square feet).
The change was proposed by property owner Lewis Karnsail and filed by applicant American Consulting and Engineering. Adam Allen of American Consulting and Engineering told the commission the owner intends to rezone now and “come forward in the future and propose a subdivision” for the property. Allen said the immediate request is limited to the zoning amendment and described the application as “pretty straight. This one’s pretty straightforward.”
