The district received two bids for the specialized work; Precision Locksmith Service Inc. was the lowest responsive bidder.
Ansberg told the board the contract is focused on interior classroom hardware only. He said ADA exterior access is handled through separate projects and the district will add accessible automation to exterior doors as needed. Some recently renovated hardware from Forest Hills and Lake Grove may be salvaged for use in new buildings or placed into surplus pending future construction.
A motion to authorize the clerk to execute the contract was moved and seconded; the chair called for a voice vote and recorded the motion as approved.
