Commissioners discuss using preservation-stipend funds for courthouse trunk exhibit and two books

The commissioner asked colleagues to suggest organizations or uses that would preserve the courthouse story or the building fabric as decisions proceed about the building’s future. Staff and commissioners noted the courthouse will be taken out of active courthouse use once a replacement building is completed (a future date discussed in the meeting), and that funds could be used for interpretive or archival work.
