Staff proposed that one useful product for the internship would be a story map (an interactive, web‑based GIS narrative) that dovetails with the county driving‑tour booklet; the story map could host additional photographs and blueprints the printed booklet cannot include.
Commissioners and staff agreed the internship should prioritize completing verifiable driving‑tour entries, assembling digitized historic photos, and preparing the story‑map or web assets that could be expanded after the grant period.
No formal hiring action was taken at the meeting; interviews were scheduled. Staff said the internship start date and exact scope will depend on the selected candidate and the available grant period.
