The Yankton School District 63-3 board approved the canvass of the April school-board election and certified the results at the meeting.
A motion presented the canvass and named the canvassers — including Vivi Anderson, Kathy Greenway, Sarah Assarda, Terry Crandall, Jacqueline Mueller and Jordan Shield — for the jurisdiction. The motion recorded that, based on the certified returns, Justin Crick and Sarah Grama received a majority of votes cast and are duly elected to three-year terms on the school board.
Board members voted to approve the canvass and certification by roll call. No recounts or contesting actions were recorded in the discussion. The board moved on after the roll call.
The board’s action formally completed the district’s canvass process for the April election.
