The board unanimously adopted proclamations declaring April 13–19, 2025, National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, April 2025 Child Abuse Prevention Month in Carbon County, and April 2025 as Pennsylvania 811 Safe Digging Month. Gary Williams, addressing the board on behalf of dispatch, thanked county dispatchers and noted the strain on staffing; he said the dispatch center handled “around 121,000” calls in the year, and remarked on heavy call volumes during major weather events. The board also recognized community groups with banner requests and agreements that were on the agenda.
