Buildings and grounds committee reviews land survey options; service-agreement to appear on next agenda

At the April 14 meeting the Jersey Shore Area School District buildings and grounds committee reported it had met at 4 p.m. with district administrators and surveyor Nate Hallock to review potential layouts and subdivision options for district property.
Committee member Mister Broomgard said Hallock presented maps showing options to divide the land into roughly four or five lots and suggested the next step could be to consult the Salladasburg (Salliesburg/Salidaysburg in transcript) township supervisors about ball-field uses and related legalities. The committee also heard a list of needed repairs at the middle school; staff said they will apply "site logic" to prioritize repairs and then obtain cost estimates.
Broomgard told the board the committee brought Hallock's proposal forward for committee input and that a service agreement for the survey work ― including subdivision procedures with the county and planning commission steps ― will be on the board agenda at the next meeting for possible approval.
No formal board action was taken on the survey or repair priorities at the April 14 meeting; the service-agreement authorization is expected to return for a vote.
