District administrators reported on outreach to firms for building and facility assessments and said they plan to invite interested vendors to present to the board at the next scheduled meeting.
Staff said they had contacted several firms and that ICS and Nexus were available and willing to present. A previously branded firm (Apex) is undergoing rebranding and staff said they had limited track record information for that vendor. Administrators proposed scheduling 20–30 minute presentation slots after the board’s work session at the board’s next meeting to hear each firm’s approach, typical process, and experience working with school districts.
Staff also said they would conduct a walkthrough of a local furniture store property as part of due diligence and that a realtor working on that property would assist. No procurement award or contract was decided at the meeting; the board indicated interest in hearing presentations before selecting a firm or opening a formal RFP.
Staff will return with presentation materials and any additional documentation for board review and follow-up action.
