During the Oct. 22 Facilities Committee meeting, facilities staff said the district received three bids for JACE HVAC controls equipment and recommended awarding to the lowest responsive bidder, Bridal Precision, at $152,255.
“Bridal Precision submitted the lowest responsive bid in the amount of $152,255, and it is well within budget,” Mr. McManus told the committee. Staff asked the committee to recommend award to the full school board.
Committee members approved a motion, 3‑0, to forward staff’s recommendation to the full board for final action. The committee did not vote to award the contract at the committee level; the recommendation will appear on the full‑board agenda.
The presentation identified the JACE system as the head end for HVAC controls; no additional technical specifications, contract terms, or contingency allowances were discussed in committee. The contractor name and bid amount were recorded in the meeting transcript; staff said the award amount is within the existing budget but did not specify the budget line item or funding source during the discussion.
