Board OKs annual Impact Aid survey, designates Crystal Wombach to sign

The Sierra Vista Unified School District governing board authorized the administration to conduct the district’s annual Federal Impact Aid survey under Public Law 81‑874 and designated Crystal Wombach to sign the application form.
Administration said the survey is required to apply for federal Impact Aid dollars and that the survey date this year will be Nov. 3, 2025. Administration recommended approval and noted that the district will provide both online and paper options to increase response rates.
Interim Superintendent Terry Romo told the board, "We're gonna do both ways this year. We are gonna have the online option for those families...and so we will have both options happening." The board approved the motion 5-0.
Administration also noted that families who live or work on Fort Huachuca or with border patrol are eligible and should return the form to the district for processing.
