Presenters said the simulator kit can be used in controlled environments such as parking lots with cones to simulate impaired or distracted driving scenarios for education purposes. The grant was described as funded in part through state distributions tied to medical marijuana tax revenue, as administered through PCCD.
A motion to send Bill 35 to the full council was made, seconded and approved by voice vote. The referral moves the appropriation to the council for formal consideration. No roll-call totals were recorded in the transcript.
