Board of Supervisors adopts package of ordinances, contracts and appointments; continues two hearings

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors on April 28, 2015 approved a series of ordinances, resolutions, contract amendments and appointments taken largely on the consent calendar and by unanimous vote, while continuing two items for later consideration.
The board amended and passed the first reading of an administrative-code ordinance modifying the rental payment differential and regulating relocation payments to evicted tenants, and approved a technical amendment to clarify the information a tenant must provide before receiving relocation payments. The board also adopted a resolution increasing the Children's Council of San Francisco contract for Preschool for All subsidies to a not-to-exceed amount of approximately $47,400,000, and authorized a multifamily housing revenue note of up to approximately $61,400,000 to finance acquisition and construction of a 200-unit rental project at 588 Mission Bay Boulevard. Additional consent actions included approval of an in-kind gift of technical assistance to the district attorney's office valued at $20,000 and settlement authorization in a lawsuit filed by Kimberly Tullier for $125,000 (first reading), among other routine items.
Several community benefit district annual reports were accepted and the board confirmed numerous mayoral appointments and commission appointments. The board designated the RL Goldberg Building at 1802–1908 Gulf Street as a landmark under Planning Code Article 10. The board also voted to continue a proposed ordinance on exterior noise attenuation for new residential structures to the May 5, 2015 meeting for technical revisions and continued the appeal hearing on a tentative map for a two-unit condominium project at 639 Peralta Avenue until July 28, 2015, at the request of parties and because of a related state court matter.
