The board’s stated plan calls for the administration to post an application and materials solicitation, set a submission deadline (the board described it as “Friday of next week”), meet to select candidates the following Monday, and conduct interviews at the board’s regularly scheduled meeting on the second Monday in May. If the board cannot appoint someone within 30 days, the Clinton County RESA (CC RESA) has the authority to make the appointment; the board said it intends to fill the seat itself.
Board members praised Hanselman’s service in remarks made at the meeting. One member said, “Every decision Jason made was always with the best interest of our students in mind,” and expressed personal thanks and best wishes.
The board asked staff to circulate the candidate questions used in previous vacancy processes and to publish application details; timelines may be adjusted for board-member availability but the board emphasized its intent to comply with the 30-day statutory requirement.
