Council reports $1 million in state funding for Westminster fiber project

Hoff said the funding was awarded in the state budget for the current fiscal cycle and described the appropriation as a significant contribution to the city’s ongoing fiber project. He said members of the council and the city’s lobbyists made multiple outreach efforts in Annapolis to secure the allocation. The council did not take a formal vote on the funding at the meeting; the item was an update delivered during council comments.
