Indianola City Council appoints Bob Lane to at-large seat

The council called the roll and recorded five ayes: Council Member Dolby, Council Member Armstrong, Council Member Beach, Council Member Stones and Council Member Rabe. The motion carried 5-0. After the vote, Bob Lane recited the oath of office, saying in part, "I, Bob Lane, do solemnly swear ... that I will support the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of Iowa." Jackie and Mayor Richardson then congratulated Lane and indicated administrative steps (a note of office and paperwork) would follow.
