Council confirms Greg West to Metropolitan Development Commission

Councilor Michael Paul Hart said West “speaks the language of all the folks that come in here in front of the MDC,” and Councilor Adney noted West’s residence in Perry Township and his experience working in Decatur Township. Councilor Ron Gibson asked West about priorities for MDC; West said he would not bring personal agendas to the position and described his intent to evaluate petitions as they are presented.
A motion to approve the appointment was moved and seconded; the committee voted by voice and the motion carried.
