The Lynnwood City Council recorded several formal actions during its April 14 business meeting, including approval of minutes and consent items, a property surplus declaration, and an appointment to the Human Services Commission. The council also approved Resolution 2025-05 to forward an annexation petition from the Edmonds School District to the Boundary Review Board (see separate story).
Key votes and outcomes:
- Minutes approval: The council moved and seconded approval of multiple meeting minutes (March and April sessions). The motion passed by voice vote.
- Consent agenda (unanimous consent): Claims and payroll were approved as read: Approved claims of $1,504,493.49 for 03/17/2025 through 03/30/2025; payroll of $1,840,447.74 dated 03/21/2025; payroll of $1,764,647.08 dated 04/04/2025. The council also approved a request to enter an agreement with Full Stream Operations LLC (details of the contract were read as part of the consent agenda and not further discussed on the record).
- Precision Tune property surplus and sale: Councilmember Lew Wyler moved to direct the mayor to declare property located at 19610 40th Avenue West (as stated in the record) surplus and list it for sale. The motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.
- Appointment to Human Services Commission: The council moved and seconded to appoint Kreisha Green to Position 7 of the Human Services Commission for a term expiring Dec. 31, 2027. The appointment was approved by voice vote.
- Resolution 2025-05 (Edmonds School District annexation petition): See separate article. The council approved resolution 2025-05 by roll-call vote, 6-1.
Notes on procedure and next steps: Consent-agenda items were approved by unanimous consent. The surplus-property motion will proceed with the mayor's authority to list the parcel for sale. The human-services appointment is effective as recorded and the new commissioner will serve through 12/31/2027.
The council recessed for a brief executive session earlier in the meeting on a potential real-estate transaction under RCW 42.30.110(1)(b); the record shows the meeting returned to open session and the property-surplus motion was made and approved.
