Animal Advisory Commission elects vice chair, selects parliamentarian and postpones chair decision after tie vote

Commissioner Joanne Norton nominated Dr. Nilsen for chair and the nomination was seconded. At the end of the roll call and nominations the commission recorded a tie for the chair position and deferred a final selection to a future meeting.
Commissioner Linder was nominated and re-elected as vice chair by unanimous vote. For parliamentarian, two nominations were placed; after ballots and an abstention by one commissioner the commission selected Commissioner Joanne Norton as parliamentarian.
Earlier in the meeting commissioners approved the minutes from the March 10 regular meeting by an 8–0–1 vote, with Chair Ryan Clinton abstaining because he had not had a chance to review the recording prior to the vote.
The meeting adjourned after a motion to adjourn was moved by Commissioner Dulcaitis, seconded by Vice Chair Linder, and carried unanimously.
