The City of Fulshear Development Corporation approved a draft update to its bylaws, adopting edits requested at a prior meeting and adding a sentence on voluntary resignation notice that would require the economic development director to notify the mayor, council and EDC board members. Staff said the draft corrected typographical errors, updated Article 4 and Section 7 on vacancies, and added Section 10 to formalize the voluntary-resignation notification process. Following discussion, a board member moved to approve the bylaws with the requested language additions (the voluntary-resignation notification sentence) and a deletion in Article 7 to remove redundant council-approval language for committee membership; a second was heard; the board approved the motion by voice vote. The motion directs staff to submit the updated bylaws to counsel and to request city council approval for the project/expenditure where required. The board noted the effective date of the bylaws will depend on counsel and council approval.
