The applicant did not add comments at the hearing; a single citizen (Syeda Syed) asked about tax implications of the abandonment, and staff responded that tax assessment would be handled by the appraisal district if ownership changes.
Commissioner Gross made the motion to approve; Commissioner Savoy seconded. The commission voted 7-0 to approve the replat and abandonment. The approval will be transmitted to City Council for final action per the city’s procedures.
