The Colleyville Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously approved a replat for Lot 4R, Block 1, Nystel Addition (becoming Lot 1, Block 1, Nystel Addition) and authorized the abandonment of approximately 25 feet of right-of-way adjacent to 1809 John McCain Road (Case PC25-009).
Staff said the parcel is zoned ML (light industrial) and is used as an RV storage lot; the requested 25-foot strip of right-of-way is associated with an area the owner wants abandoned to consolidate property. Staff reported no letters of opposition or support. The applicant did not add comments at the hearing; a single citizen (Syeda Syed) asked about tax implications of the abandonment, and staff responded that tax assessment would be handled by the appraisal district if ownership changes.
Commissioner Gross made the motion to approve; Commissioner Savoy seconded. The commission voted 7-0 to approve the replat and abandonment. The approval will be transmitted to City Council for final action per the city’s procedures.
