District staff provided several administrative updates March 26, including a new meeting date, paperwork requests related to state filings, and a staff introduction.
Executive Director Christophe Dobson told the board its next meeting will be April 23 and asked members to return personally identifying information requested on forms the district needs to complete a state disability-insurance application. Dobson said the district has a quarter-long reprieve to submit the application and staff will submit what they receive, but requested members provide the information so the district can file retroactively to the start of the quarter.
Dobson also announced the district's first fully digital State of the District report, available as a website rather than a PDF. "This is the first time we've tried a completely digital electronic version," he said, and asked members to review it and provide feedback.
Staff introduced Sunny Kenner as the new administrative assistant to the general manager. Dobson summarized Kenner's background, saying she has an associate degree from Cosumnes River College and a paralegal certificate from UC Davis and has worked for the district since 2014 in roles supporting executive staff. Kenner confirmed that PDF or electronic copies of required forms are acceptable for filing; staff said a PDF emailed to the clerk is fine for the district's electronic filing system.
Why it matters: staff said the requested forms are necessary both to process meeting-pay compensation and to complete the district's application for state disability insurance. Several board members raised that they receive multiple Form 700 notices through other filing systems (county or city), and staff agreed to confirm whether duplicate submissions are required or if copies from city/county filings suffice.
Ending: Staff asked members to provide requested forms or coordinate with district staff and city clerks so the district can complete necessary filings ahead of quarter-end deadlines.
