County GIS updates MOU with neighboring jurisdictions and readies ArcGIS Pro migration

Montezuma County GIS staff told commissioners a multi-jurisdictional memorandum of understanding expanding shared GIS services is complete and ready for execution and that software updates will occur this year.
The GIS representative reported an MOU to formalize mapping services with Dolores County, Mancos and Cortez — extending prior work that placed Dolores County data on Montezuma County servers — has secured municipal signatures and is ready for the board to place on an agenda for execution. The GIS staff said the expansion will cover the PSAP/911 region and that signature timing depends on commissioners’ availability.
Staff described an address review using imagery flown last October and said they have reviewed about 10 years of address data to identify properties that may be missing from the tax roll. The county plans to migrate internal mapping from ArcGIS Desktop to ArcGIS Pro and to update web map viewers this summer.
Why it matters: the MOU will formalize shared mapping infrastructure for emergency dispatch and web services, and the ArcGIS Pro migration is a required software update to maintain county mapping operations.
No vote was recorded at the workshop; staff said they will place the MOU on a future agenda with 24-hour notice for commissioners.
